We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and bank transfers for payment. We also accept money orders and cashier’s checks payable to Scandinavian Details.
All prices are subject to change. Once your order is received, however, your price is guaranteed.
sales tax
All orders shipped to an address in the state of California must include 8.5% sales tax. If Scandinavian Details is not collecting sales tax on your out-of-state order, you are expected to comply with your state’s current laws regarding purchases made over the Internet.

gift certificates
Gift certificates are available for purchase in $10/$25/$50 denominations. They will be sent via first-class mail and will include your personal message on a handwritten card. There is no shipping charge for gift certificates unless you opt for rush delivery.

Most orders are shipped within two business days of receipt. Items shipped from our suppliers may take slightly longer.
With standard UPS ground service your order should arrive within seven business days from the date of shipment. Please place a separate order for each individual shipment if shipping to more than two addresses.
While we make every effort to keep a full inventory, occasionally an item may be out of stock. Should this delay the shipping of your order we will notify you inmediately.
cancellations, exchanges & returns
Your satisfaction is our goal. Prior to shipment you may cancel your order for any reason. Once your order has been shipped, it is too late to cancel. After receiving your order, you may contact us at 800.928.4010 to authorize a return. We accept returns for store credit or exchange only on all items except GarlicCard, Drosselmeyer, dinnerware, glassware, cutlery, special orders, sale and holiday items. Returns must be sent to us within 30 days from our date of shipment and must be in their original condition and packaging and accompanied by our Scandinavian Details sales receipt. Returns must be shipped via insured courier at your cost. Shipping costs incurred by Scandinavian Details cannot be refunded or credited for exchange.
damaged goods
Please, inspect your purchases upon delivery and call us immediately at 800.928.4010 if you find that anything is damaged. UPS may require an inspection in the event that we file a damage claim with them so it is very important that you retain not only the damaged item but also the packaging it arrived in. We will file a damage claim with the shipper and ship a replacement as soon as possible. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within a week of delivery.
